X2 Condensation Tubes (2-Pack) – For High Humidity Environments

Designed specifically for Nomadic Cooling X2 Standard, X2 Plus, and X2 Helix Gen I rooftop A/C units, this pair of condensation tubes helps manage excess moisture in high-humidity conditions—ideal for van lifers, overlanders, and mobile setups in coastal, tropical, or hot summer climates.

Important install note: These tubes are designed to work with X2 installations using the dual-layer / double foam gasket when additional roof clearance is needed. The A/C base and drain outlets should not touch or rest against the roof of the van.

These custom-fit tubes attach directly to the dual drainage ports on the X2, helping provide a cleaner path for condensation to exit the unit. Proper drainage is especially important when the A/C is working hard in humid conditions.

The drain outlet should face downward and remain clear so water can exit freely. If the outlet touches the roof, sits flat against the roof, or becomes blocked, condensation may back up instead of draining properly.

Includes two condensation tubes, one for each drain port, designed to work as a matched left and right side set.

Condensation Tube Kit – Features & Benefits

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Which X2 models are these compatible with?
A: These condensation tubes are designed for X2 Standard, X2 Plus, and X2 Helix Gen I rooftop A/C units only.

Q: Do I need this kit for normal operation?
A: No, the X2 can operate without this kit. However, in high-humidity, coastal, or very hot environments, these tubes can help support better condensation drainage and moisture control.

Q: Are these compatible with the X3 or X1 units?
A: No. These tubes are custom fit for the X2 only. They are not designed to align with X1 or X3 drainage systems.

Q: Are these made to work with the double foam gasket?
A: Yes. These tubes are designed to work with X2 installations that use the dual-layer / double foam gasket when more roof clearance is needed. The gasket helps keep the A/C base and drain outlets from sitting directly against the van roof.

Q: Should the tubes touch the roof of the van?
A: No. The drain outlet should face downward and remain clear. It should not touch, rest flat against, or be blocked by the roof. If the outlet is touching the roof, the installation should be checked for proper clearance, gasket thickness, and unit positioning.

Q: How do I install them?
A: Press one tube onto each drainage port at the base of the X2. Make sure each outlet is pointed downward and has a clear path for water to drain away from the unit.

Q: What if I am routing permanent drain lines?
A: For permanent routed drain lines, follow the X2 installation manual. Drain lines should maintain a continuous downhill path with no kinks, loops, or low spots. A one-way check valve may be required for permanent drain routing.

Q: What material are the tubes made from?
A: They are made from flexible, weather-resistant polymer tubing designed for outdoor use, temperature changes, and mobile applications.

Install reminder: The X2 should maintain proper roof clearance. If the drain outlets or A/C base are touching the van roof, use the correct dual-layer / double foam gasket setup before final installation.
