Helix Signal is a compact, wireless leak sensor that slides into your rig’s highest-risk zones: under sinks, near tanks, and inside utility bays, without cutting, drilling, or running wire. Setup takes just a few minutes through your Helix Pulse hub (required).
Placement & options
- Power: CR2 lithium battery (replaceable); designed for long-life, low-power operation.
- Connection: Wire-free link to your Helix Pulse hub (Helix Pulse required).
- Typical locations: Under sinks, near fresh/grey/black tanks, at pump/manifold connections, inside utility bays, under indoor units, or beneath any fittings prone to slow leaks.
- Orientation: Flat on a solid surface with the sensor contacts facing the direction water will reach first.
- Environment: Indoor/mobile environments only; do not submerge or expose to standing water long-term.
- Alerts: Triggers Helix app and Pulse-screen notifications when water is detected.

- Check registration: Confirm the sensor appears in your Helix app / Pulse device list with a clear, descriptive name (e.g., “Galley Sink Leak” or “Fresh Tank Bay”).
- Place the sensor: Position the unit flat in a low point where water would naturally travel—under plumbing runs, at connection points, or at the lowest spot in the compartment.
- Test: Use a small amount of water near the probes to confirm an alert is generated in the Helix app/Pulse hub, then dry the sensor thoroughly.
- Finalize: Adjust naming, notification preferences, and any automations (e.g., pump shutoff, push alerts) inside Helix.

- Name by location, not serial number so you instantly know where the leak is (e.g., “Bathroom Sink” vs. “Sensor 03”).
- Place where water will end up, not where you wish it wouldn’t go—low points and under fittings are better than high shelf surfaces.
- Avoid constant splash zones (like directly under a shower head) to reduce nuisance alerts; aim for “drip and leak” paths instead.
